PEOPLE TO FOLLOW

Here is a list of my favorite vegan YouTubers, bloggers, and activists that have helped me get where I am today as a vegan. They are a wealth of knowledge and inspiration, as well as great examples of how many different ways there are to eat a vegan diet.

Liv B

Quick and easy vegan comfort food recipe videos that are easy for newbies to follow but still inspiring for seasoned home cooks. No weird ingredients or complicated steps, just simple, practical, approachable, and delicious vegan recipes that even non-vegans will enjoy. Also, check out her website to easily search all of her recipes.

Minimalist Baker

Dana has pretty much any recipe you could imagine on her site. The recipes are well-tested, thoughtfully created, and always turn out amazing. Her site is not entirely vegan, but most of her recipes are plant-based, and those that aren't usually have instructions on how to be made vegan.

Nikki Vegan

Thoughtful and practical vegan channel with great advice for new vegans, as well as simple recipes that won't break your budget. Nikki does an excellent job of making veganism approachable for anyone.

Hot for Food

This site and YouTube channel are perfect for the more experienced home cook who wants to make showstopping vegan versions of all the classic comfort food dishes to impress all their non-vegan friends. Lauren tests every recipe until it is as close to the non-vegan version as it can be! Be sure to try her classic Cauliflower Buffalo Wings recipe, it's so good!

Pick Up Limes

The most extensive and thorough site I have come across for nutrition and lifestyle resources. As a registered dietician, Sadia has put together so many practical tips and printable guides to help with not only getting the right nutrition on a vegan diet, but also getting your life organized! Her photography is stunning, and her recipes always look amazing.

Tish Wonders

Tish will inspire you with the most beautiful, mouth-watering, flavorful-looking dishes you have ever seen! Her passion for cooking with real food from the earth comes through in each video. Not all of her recipes are vegan, but most are plant-based or can be made vegan by omitting certain ingredients.

The Vegan 8'

All recipes are completely vegan and contain 8 ingredients or less! What more could you want? These recipes are on the healthy side and oil-free, so they are a great resource if you're going vegan for health reasons.

Ellen Fisher

A beautifully-edited YouTube channel celebrating vegan food in its purest form, with gorgeous photography from the island of Maui. Ellen also gives advice on parenting as a vegan, and has written ebooks containing nutritious plant-food recipes for the entire family.

Shine With Plants

Another beautiful vegan family eating the most nutritious vegan foods, with tips on vegan parenting, how to prepare healthy foods your kids will like, vegan pregnancy, and recipes for when you want to eat the healthiest you can.

Rachel Ama

Countless vegan recipe videos for all seasons and occasions. From budget meals to holiday menus, you will never run out of ideas of what to make for dinner!

Cheap Lazy Vegan

Exactly as it sounds! A YouTube channel dedicated to providing recipe ideas for those who want to spend the least amount of time possible in the kitchen.

Mic the Vegan

As I talked about in Vegan for Health, Mic is an excellent resource when you are confused about a topic of veganism and need the facts set straight. He covers everything from health to ethics to claims made against veganism. His videos are always the most extensively-researched and focus only on proven facts and evidence.

Earthling Ed

Ed is a vegan activist who is able to come on the level of any person, no matter their background, and intelligently lay out the argument for veganism in a helpful, non-judgmental way. Ed will help solidify your convictions if you are already vegan, or help you make the final decision if you are considering veganism.
